Calidota motnis Dyar PLATES 16/; 60c,d Calidota momis Dyar, 1912, p. 55. 5 mm. Front of head greyish brown; vertex greyish yellow, with black posteromedial spot. Tegulae greyish yellow, each with black spot posteromedially; patagia greyish yellow; rest of thorax greyish yellow, with black posteromedial spot and black anteromedial spot. Forewing greyish yellow, with black basal spot and greyish brown spots at end of cell. Hindwing greyish yellow; translucent proximally. Dorsal surface of abdomen orange yellow; segments 2—8 black laterally, segments 2 and 3 light greyish brown medially, segments 4—8 with black anteromedial patch; ventral surface olive brown.

Forewing yellow-brown basally and distal to postmedial fascia, costa brownish orange, otherwise brown; markings very dark brown. Hindwing orange, with yellowish brown cell-spot and fringe. Abdomen orange. Described from several males from localities in Colombia. A male from Alto de las Cruces and three males from San Antonio, all labeled "cotype," are paralectotypes.

407. 0 mm. Head and thorax yellowish grey; head with narrow, reddish orange, transverse posterior band. Forewing mottled yellowish white and light greyish yellow. Hindwing yellowish white. Dorsal surface of abdomen reddish orange, with black medial patch at anterior margin of segments 1-8, black lateral patch at anterior margin of segments 2—8 and pale yellow longitudinal band at extreme lateral margin of each tergum. Ventral surface of abdomen pale yellow, with reddish orange tail fringe. Described from an unspecified number of both sexes from "Juan Vinas, El Sitio," Costa Rica.
