EX-SERVICEMEN RALLY TO FELICITATE 26 SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE OFAPSCEXAM-2022 AT STATE WAR MEMORIAL, DIGHALIPUKHURI, GUWAHATI

Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam has organized an Ex-Servicemen Re-union rally to felicitate 26 successful Ex-Servicemen candidates of Assam. Assam government has sanctioned 2% reservation of vacancies in all depts. of Assam during 25thRajyaSainik Board meeting on 13th May 2022. Ex-Servicemen candidates appeared for APSC examination 2022 to avail the benefits of reservation. The first batch of successful candidates of APSC would be joining the Govt on 1st March 2024.

Shri Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Hon’ble Minister of GAD, Panchayat and Rural Development, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Govt of Assam was the Chief guest. A large number of Ex-Servicemen Officers, JCOs and Other Ranks also attended the function. The Hon’ble Minister urged the qualified candidates to work hard with honestly, integrity and bring about a change in the administration of the society with efficiency. He urged the other Ex-Servicemen to strive and qualify to avail the reserved vacancies in various departments of the State. The Hon’ble Minister also said that the youth of the State must join the Defence Services to serve the nation and assured them that the State will always look after the wellbeing and welfare of the Ex-Servicemen.

Recognizing the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces Personnel, Ex-Servicemen and their families, the Govt of Assam has consistently strived to provide assistance in various forms. 2% reservation for Ex-Servicemen of Assam in all four categories ie. Class I, II, III and IV is a very important welfare measure for rehabilitation & resettlement of Ex-Servicemen Community of Assam.

The Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam, Director Brigadier Dinesh Chandra Mazumdar (Retd) has expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the support provided by the Govt of Assam. The Govt continued support and commitment has created a positive impact in the society and garnered widespread recognition and appreciation by the Ex-Servicemen Community.
