The Cotton University Placement and Career Counseling (PACC) Cell and Capacity Building Centre (CBC) under the banner of Civil Services Study Centre, SITA, Govt. of Assam, jointly organized an interactive program – Achievers Speak – on February 28, 2023, with alumni of the varsity who have successfully cleared the APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), 2022-23. In total, more than 120 candidates from the Varsity have successfully cleared the examination. In his address, Registrar of Cotton University, Dr. Arindam Garg, congratulated the achievers and highlighted that such achievements shall go a long way in creating a positive and motivating environment for the young learners in the institution. “As you join your professions, things will change. But amidst those changes, do not change yourself as a human being,” he added. Director of CBC and Chairperson of Civil Services Study Centre, Dr. Sangeeta Borthakur, in her welcome address said, “It is really wonderful to see more than 100 names of Cottonians in the merit list of the last APSC examinations. We are indeed extremely happy at the success of our students, a success earned through hard work and determination, and we would like to wish them the very best for the future.”
A few of the achievers also shared their success stories with the students. This was followed by a Q&A session between the achievers and the students who were present at the auditorium. Academic Registrar Dr. Bedanta Deka, Dean, Students Welfare, Prof. Manjit Bhattacharya, and Director, Students Welfare, Dr. Prasanta Sarma were also present on the occasion.
